Text objects
Fully customizable: support all TrueType Windows fonts, may be on multiple lines, aligned left, right or centered, rotated from 0 to 360°, true color supported, may be invisible
Their content may be constant, based on system variables (date, time, print counter), set by the user at printing time, chosen in a list by the user at printing time, set from a database field, set as the result of a computation.
Image and photo objects
Their contents may be loaded from disk (with an image selector), acquired using Twain™ or WIA™ (under Windows™ Me or Windows™ XP) or the folder supervision. Images and pictures may be freely rotated or zoomed. eMedia performs an automatic zooming and cropping of pictures. Direct link to your favorite image processing software, supports BMP and JPG formats.
Barcodes
21 types of barcodes supported.

Database support
Direct connection to your corporate database.
Supports Microsoft™ Jet databases (Microsoft™ Access), Microsoft™ SQL Server™, Oracle™, ODBC compliant databases (IBM DB2™, Sybase™), Microsoft™ Excel™ worksheets through ODBC, Microsoft™ Active Directory™.
A wizard helps you to define the connection to your database.
If you don't already have a database, eMedia Card Designer creates one using your own specifications.
Magnetic Strip encoding
ISO and non-ISO 1, 2 and 3, JIS Type-II.
A wizard is provided to enable the user to define powerful data encoding from constant values, system variables (date, time, print counter), card contents or interactive input at printing time.
Smart Card encoding
The encoding can be performed through any Smart Card encoding application.
Contactless Card encoding
The encoding can be performed through any Contactless Card encoding application.
Printing
Through standard Windows drivers on CR-79, CR-80, CR-90 cards.
Front / Back side printing
Independent management of the two sides of the card. Different print orientation supported. Only one side printing supported. Ability to print n cards per page on printers that support this feature.
Restricted access
Two password may be set for a card to authorize the user to (1) open and print the card in eMedia, (2) modify the card design.
Plug-Ins
Third-party components may provide more functionalities to eMedia, such as: database creation / modification / deletion logging, card print count and date logging, etc.
Plug-ins may be developed by yourself or by third-party vendors.

COM Server
eMedia is fully COM (Component Object Model) compliant and may be controlled from an external program, such as Microsoft™ Excel, Microsoft™ Internet Explorer™ or a third-party software written in Microsoft™ Visual C++™ or Microsoft™ Visual Basic™.
